Winged Too Tough!

Winged was a strong tough winner of his maiden today at Werribee.

Taking up the lead from the jump, he was stalked in the run by the short priced favourite.

It became a 2 horse war from the top of the straight and Winged was challenged but fought back strongly to hold his main rival in the run to the post after 2 encouraging 2nds at his last 2 starts at Cranbourne.

The 3yo son of Pride of Dubai showed his toughness in the hard fought win, and he continues to show improvement from run to run in this his first prep.

He will run again in 3 weeks time, and hopefully we will see that toughness again when he steps out next in stronger company,
