Soothsayer made it 3 metro wins in row today at Doomben, with another dominant display to take out the 3yo City To Surf Plate over 1600m.
In basically another carbon copy win, Soothsayer with Boris Thornton aboard was able to settle just outside of the leader, and control the tempo. He was able to get his mid race breather again, and put paid to all his rivals when he entered the straight winning by an easy 2 lengths, without really being challenged at all in the straight.
That win now sets him up for the $2M Magic Millions 3yo Guineas over 1425m on Saturday 14 January.
He is an in form horse and holds the key to the main chances in Queensland and will need to meet the challengers of the southern invaders in the big race.
But Soothy is tough and honest and he will give The Dreamers something to cheer about on Magic Millions Day.
