Control Freak showed his true potential today winning his maiden in sharp time.
After 2 disappointing unplaced runs as favourite, Control Freak was sent out a $14 chance at his 3rd career start!
With James Orman onboard, he was able to control the race from the front today, which turned around his fortunes. He had his rivals off the bit approaching the turn and once he balanced up in the straight there was no doubt in the run to the line stopping the clock in a sharp 1.03.40, a faster time than the Class 5 race on the day.
Control Freak showed under the right conditions he is a horse with considerable promise.
How far he can go will be interesting to watch as he develops in his next couple of starts, and the Dreamers are in for an exciting ride!
