Be Amazing finally broke her maiden at her 11th race start at Traralgon today.
The 5yo daughter of Tavistock has been unlucky thoroughout her career with 5 placings from her previous runs and a bad fall at Sale as a 3yo when she looked to be travelling like the winner.
That fall set her back for a year recovering from muscle soreness in her back, and it’s only now as a 5yo mare have we got her right to race again.
Ridden by Jack Hill. Be Amazing took up a forward position and with all his rivals were off the bit at the 400m, took off for home around the turn to kick 4 lengths clear with only the heavily backed favourite Blazing Rebel making up late ground.
On the post she still had half a length advantage and notched up a long overdue win for her patient owners.
She is over her niggles and we are set for a good campaign with this mare that has matured into a lovely horse.
