JIMMY HOLDS THEM OFF!

Open Minded aka Jimmy held off a strong BM70 field at Caulfield today, in a well deserved hard fought win.

Wearing the blinkers for the very first time and dropping back in distance from the 1400m to 1200m, Open Minded took up the lead in the from the jump and lead a good pace without being pressured.

With Damien Thornton in the saddle and knowing that Jimmy needs a good shake up to keep his mind on the job, got him going before the turn and skipped away from the hot favourite stalking him in the run.

From the 200m point they were in a battle all the way to the post with Jimmy holding them all at bay to win in a stirring finish.

They beat the rest of the field by a good margin so we expect that to be a good form race for the future and puts Jimmy at 4 wins from his 9 career starts, and up to a rating of 75.

Open Minded continues to lift the bar, and that was his second metro midweek win of his 4 wins.

He is building a good record and we are excited to see how far he can progress through the Autumn
