Desert Dreamer

An easy watch!

Desert Dreamer scored his 3rd career win today at Moe in the Moe Denture Clinic BM58 over 1600m.

Stepping up to the 1600m for the first time with 62 kgs would normally be a tough task, but under the cool handed riding of young apprentice Matt Cartwright, Desert Dreamer was given a lovely ride behind the speed for much of the race.

He started to rev up Desert Dreamer approaching the turn, and when he balanced up in the straight, ran way for a comfortable 2 length win, without any serious challengers behind him.

Desert Dreamer showed that he has the ability to get a strong 1600m, and possibly further in time, and with 3 wins from his 8 starts, he is showing enough potential to step up in grade now.

I wish all our winners were an easy watch like that, and the brings Matt Cartwright’s record to 3 winners from 3 rides for the Dream Team.
