Rocket salutes up north!

Bombay Rocket had a change of stables over Xmas to the David Vandyke stable with winning results at her first start up north.

After trialling sharply, she was sent out as one of the heavily favoured runners in an Open Maiden at the Gold Coast, and duly saluted after a hard fought tussle down the straight.

The Rocket was expected to lead, but the first starter from the Toby Edmonds yard Biz Class showed blistering pace to lead the field and the leader gave a huge kick down the straight.

Bombay Rocket followed the early leader in the run, and peeled off it’s back entering the straight and over powered the leader in the straight to win by a length on the post.

The Rocket looks set to enjoy racing in Queensland, and her new stable surroundings, lots more in store by this regally bred 3yo filly.
