An Amazing New Year’s Day!

The 2021 year got off to a wonderful start with the win of our tough 5yo mare Be Amazing at Mornington New Year’s Day.

Be Amazing made it back to back wins with a tough on pace hard fought win over the same track an distance she conquered last start.

Ridden for the first time by apprentice Laura Lafferty, Be Amazing was given a perfect ride, dictating the race from the front, stacking up the field mid race and sprinting for home at the top of the straight, when he main rival Annie’s Missile was off the bit on her outside.

She held off the late challenge from the favourite, tried to rally back, but Be Amazing showed her guts and determination to keep finding in the straight and win by a short but definitive margin.

She is certainly a mare in form, and she will continue to race into the New Year looking for more opportunities to add to her ever consistent record.

The Dreamers were definitely out in force down the Peninsula to watch her win on Friday!
