You Beauty Berenger!

Berenger broke through for another win at Bendigo yesterday in the $15K 1300m 0-68 Handicap.

We recently purchased the major ownership share in Berenger, with the view to restrict him to sprinting distances.

He has been unlucky in a few races previously, and probably should have won more races.

But his luck changed in his first run in Dream Thoroughbreds racing silks.

Berenger jumped well, but he was allowed to settled towards the rear of the field, in a nice position.

His jockey Vlad Duric, allowed the favourite to push around him 3 wide, and then took the sit behind him approaching the turn.

Vlad stoked him up around the turn, and launched his run 4-5 wide entering the straight. The leader kicked around the turn, and although running on out wide, it looked like he may not be able to picked up the leader at the 200m mark.

Vlad pulled his whip through into his left hand at the 200m to straighten him up, and once he was balanced, he launched a big sprint over the last 100m to claim the leader and win going away by 0.5 lengths on the finish line.

There was a big group of owners on track to watch him salute the judge, and they were heard loudly by all in attendance after Berenger hit the finish line first.

There is no doubt the faster pace, and get back style of racing suits him better, and we hope to see more big finishes from him in the future.
