Mr Sneaky announced his arrival at the 2017 Spring Carnival with an impressive win in the Hocking Stuart Plate over 1200m at Caulfield yesterday!

After his Autumn mishap at Scone, he was spelled immediately with the Spring riches in his sights. He thrived during his break, and on his return, a path was set to the achieve Group status during the Spring.

He kicked off in a very strong BM78, with view to building up his rating before the big Group 1 races come around in October.

He was well handled by his new jockey Mark Zahra, who just allowed him to find his feet in the early running, he snuck up along the rails down the side, just allowing him to be put in a good position to pounce once they turned into the straight. As the field turned for home, and the favourite TheAnswerMyFriend sprinted to the lead, he snuck up behind him, and between the 200m and 100m point ranged up and strode easily past him to give him an soft 2.5 length win on the line, a real smashing!

He ran the quickest 1200m on the day, and showed that he is a horse with huge upside coming into the Spring, and plans were quickly put in place to head towards the Group 1 Rupert Clarke Stakes on 1 October.

Anthony Freedman and his team prepared Mr Sneaky very well, he has more improvement to come, and he put everyone on notice that he is a serious horse!

The Dream Team were again on track in force, making ourselves known, and Mark Zahra even commented on the loudest of the roar as he was surging to the front.
