Shufetish puts her best hoof forward!

Shufetish won her long awaited maiden today at Kyneton over 1450m against open age horses.

Shufetish was having her first start at the 1450m distance but started a warm favourite.

Ridden by experienced jock Dean Yendall, he jumped Shufetish out from barrier 2 to be sitting behidn the leader on the fence.

It was a fierce competitive race, with 3 horse competing for the lead. Yendall rode patiently and allowed them to pressure each other while smoking his pipe behind them. Approaching the 400m when the challengers started to tire, Yendall push Shufetish off the rail to range up outside the leader approaching the turn.

Shufetish looked under a good hold, and when Yendall ask her to sprint for home she put a couple of lengths on the opposition to win running away by 3.75 lengths.

The Dream Girls have been waiting to see her salute the judge, and she made sure it was a significant win!

Shufetish has shown good potential but to break the maiden had been frustrating before today.

Still a little green, she looks like she can now improve off that win, and push onto something stronger now.

I'm sure the Dream Girls will be out in their Hot Pink outfits next start!
