SAVVY SHINES ON DEBUT

Savvy Shields our striking 3yo daughter of All American out of the Savabeel mare Miss Savabeel won on debut today at Pakenham in the Racing.com open fillies and mares maiden plate over 1200m.

Savvy was in control of the race from the start jumping well, putting herself into the leading bunch, and then taking a beautiful in transit sit behind the leader. Approaching the sweeping turn at Pakenham, Savvy was striding out nicely to the leader with plenty in hand. She swiftly went past the leader and withstood the challenege of the favourite all the way up the uphill straight, and defied them all by a length in good time.

Her time was 3 lengths quicker than the BM58 race on the same day, good signs for a filly having her first outing and with an exciting Spring ahead.

Daniel Moor rode her a perfectly, and rated her so she could hit the line strongly at her first attempt over 1200m

Lee Freedman gave her a good sounding out 2 weeks ago in her trial at Flemington, which gave us confidence that she had the tactical speed to race handy on her debut.

A great team effort all round, and a fantastic turnout of owners which made the win all the more memorable for everyone.

KEEP LIVING THE DREAM!
