RUBY SEA SHOWS HER POTENTIAL

Ruby Sea won again today at Sandown in the Chandler Macleod BM64 Handicap for 3yo fillies over 1600m, in exciting style.

She is a filly with enormous potential and showed today that she has the scope to go onto bigger and better things.

Ruby Sea was slow to begin and lobbed out last in the big field, and with the solid pace on throughout. Luke Nolen didn't panic after the slow beginning, and allowed her to just find her feet, and get into a nice rhythm , even though she was giving the leader 15 lengths down the back straight. Ruby Sea slowly edged her way closer, and as they turned into the long Sandown straight, Luke edge his way to the outside of the group, and allowed her to make her surge towards the leaders. She lengthened so quickly between the 400m and 200m point, that she had made up 10-12 lengths, hit the lead and had the race in her keeping winning by 2.25 lengths, running home 34.80 secs for her last 600m.

Ciaron Maher quickly made the decision to set her for the 3yo fillies Rivette Series Final on Saturday 8 July over 1600m.

She is a filly that will relish the big open spaces at Flemington, and we are very excited to see how she will measure up to Saturday city grade!
