Burgundy Lass notched up her second win in the Browns Sawdust & Shavings Handicap at Sandown Park today.

Ridden by young apprentice Dylan Dunn, she settled behind the leaders from the jump, and travelled well in behind an even speed.

The leaders rolled off the fence upon straightened, and the little Nicconi filly pushed up along the rail to sprint away, and put a couple of lengths on the field.

The challengers came out wide, but she held them strongly over the final 200m to win by a long head.

She won in the fast time of 58.01 secs for the 1000m scamper.

Off the back of a fast trial win at Balnarring 2 weeks ago, we were confident she would run a competitive race, and she has now had 2 first up runs for 2 wins, in just 4 career starts.

She is just a little gem, and is bringing lots of joy to many new Dreamers out there!
